And that's on a good day.

I have always been bad at getting my hair cut. I have thick, blonde, long curly hair that has been the bane of my life for 31 years. On a good day, it looks like Carrie Bradshaw on Season One of Sex and the City - and her hair didn't look that great Season One. It took Five more seasons for her to get it right. Sometimes it looks like Julia Roberts from Steel Magnolias. She dies in that movie.

My fiance gave me an ultimatum. He is very stylish and his hair always looks good. I have been embarrassing him in public for going on three years. It was time to make a change, he said.

Do Something Drastic.

I emailed my friends for their suggestions - all of them with their silky, shiny, thin and beautiful locks. They were no help. So I Googled "Best Curly Hair Cut" and "NYC" and got a a gaggle of responses - some of which I have tried before, to no avail.

Theo was rad. She KNOWS curly hair. She gave me the low down on my hair cut choices and product treatments. I immediately trusted her and let he go nuts. My hair was transformed from a frizzy Liberty Bell shape to a sexy, layered masterpiece.
